Go Green? Go Blue? Tell Us Who You Cheer For and WIN, Rochester

We want to know if this town cheers for Michigan or Michigan State.

I confess.

Sometimes at the I do a count.

The cider mill is also a good place to survey the crowd.

And while I think I have a pretty good idea where Rochester and Rochester Hills fall in their team loyalties, well, my methods are unscientific at best.

But now, with state bragging rights on the line, it's time to get serious.

Find out what's happening in Rochester-Rochester Hillswith free, real-time updates from Patch.

And what, I ask, could be more scientific (and fun) than a Patch poll and contest, complete with a prize?

The contest

We want to know who you're cheering for this Saturday: Michigan or Michigan State.

One entry will be selected at random to win a "Chips-and-Salsa Bar" from the new Walton Boulevard  Mexican Grill.

To win, post a comment telling us who you're cheering for in Saturday's big game; we'll pick one winner at random.

Here's how it will work:

  • Post one comment here telling us your team of choice. You need only say "Spartans" or "Wolverines" to enter.
  • Please, only one entry per person.
  • All comments must be posted by noon Thursday, Oct. 13, to be counted for the contest.
  • One winner will be selected in a random drawing Thursday. That winner will receive an email notification from Patch, which must be responded to within 48 hours to receive the prize.

The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older. And this wouldn't be a contest without a complete list of official Patch contest rules; you can read them .

The prize

It just may be the perfect way to tailgate.

Qdoba offers a Chips-and-Salsa Bar that feeds 10. It includes white corn tortilla chips tossed with lime and kosher salt and your choice of five different salsas — from fiery habanero to roasted chili corn, although I have a feeling if a State fan wins, it will be salsa verde all the way!

The Chips-and-Salsa Bar sells for $18.02. One lucky Patch winner will receive a $20 Qdoba gift card.

Go green? Go white? It's time to vote.
