5 Things to Know This Week: More Snow, High School Hoops and Road Work

Here is a short guide to the week ahead.

 More snow in forecast: Just when you thought spring was around the corner, the weather report is here to fool you. According to the National Weather Service, snow is possible Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

High school hoops: Boys basketball districts begin tonight. Avondale plays Waterford Kettering at 8 p.m. at Troy Athens. Meanwhile, in Oxford, plays Lake Orion at 5:30 and plays Oxford at 7. On Wednesday, the winner of the Rochester-Lake Orion game plays at 5:30 p.m.

School leader search: We are looking forward to learning who will lead , and we know you are, too. The process starts to move full-speed ahead tonight, when Board of Education members approve a list of candidates for the superintendent position. They meet at 7 at the school administration meeting; if you can't make it to the meeting, check back tonight on Rochester Patch for a full report.

Road work: If weather cooperates, construction will likely begin later this week or early next week on the Crooks Road-M-59 interchange in Rochester Hills. The reconstruction will replace the deteriorating interchange. One lane will be remain open at all times during reconstruction.
