10 Things To Keep You Busy This Weekend Around Rochester

There's an art show, a hike, a duck race — and did we mention the sheep?

Here's what's happening this weekend in Rochester and Rochester Hills:

  1. : From I Love Ewesy and Captain Jack Spbaarow to Lady Baa Baa, the Hollywood-themed sheep are coming to downtown Rochester. They'll be on a red carpet of sorts at a special premier event from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday near the Downtown Farmers' Market lot.
  2. : From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. you can hike along the Clinton River Trail and learn about how the city of Rochester Hills is working to preserve green space. There are giveaways and informational tents along the way.
  3. : Old-fashioned games will be the highlight of this annual event at Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm. There will be animals, music and schoolhouse activities for the whole family.
  4. : From 12-3 p.m. families can enjoy a moon walk, demonstrations by the Rochester Hills Fire Department and more free activities at this annual event at Bloomer Park.
  5. : This annual event was rained out last year, but the forecast this year is just right for thousands of rubber ducks to float down the Paint Creek inside Rochester Municipal Park. Festivities begin at 1 p.m. Sunday.
  6. This annual walkathon along the Paint Creek Trail on Sunday raises money for retired greyhound dogs, but you don't have to have a greyhound to participate.
  7. : Several businesses in downtown Rochester are showcasing artistic skateboard decks during a gallery/shopping stroll on Friday night.
  8. : Billed as "mod, madcap and must-see," this performance by Full Impact Theater promises "mesmerizing drama." It's on stage at the Older Persons' Commission.
  9. The Avon Players perform this sweet story on stage starting this weekend. Tickets are $16-$18.
  10. : The juried art fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. There will be free entertainment and children's activities, too.
