Woeful Weekend

What could be worse than the Tigers losing a game they were winning, the Lions losing on the last play of the game, and the Red Wings losing a two goal lead against the low-key Coyotes, all in one weekend?  Stepping on a Lego is in a close second place, I will leave it at that.

For the one millionth time(possibly exaggerated), the Tigers bullpen fails to perform and resulted in the Red Sox eliminating them in game 6 at Fenway Park in yet another heartbreak fashion.  The Lions looked real good against the Cincinnati Bengals all game, aside from the lackluster punt that gave the Bengals good enough field position at the end of the game to get in field goal range, which resulted in them losing.  And man oh man, was i even more hurt to see that the Red Wings were up 2-0 against an average Phoenix Coyotes in the desert, only to give up that lead at around the same exact time Shane Victorino hit the grand slam to beat the Tigers Saturday night.

Frankly, I was very upset this weekend over all Detroit Sports, and I am still a little bothered because all three teams were in position to win their respective games.  As mentioned before, the Red Wings were up 2-0, up to the later stages of the second period.  The Tigers were up 2-1 going into the seventh inning, looking great defensively and ready to send the series to a seventh game.  The Lions had tied the game up with Cincinnati and even had a few chances to try and drive down the field for go ahead scores.  It will take some time and something else(a Red Wings win over the San Jose Sharks tonight) to help me cheer up from that dismal sports weekend.
