D-Town Excitement

Tigers start the playoffs on Friday, Red Wings start their season tomorrow, and the Lions just beat up on the Chicago Bears.  Is there anybody that isn't a little giddy for Detroit Sports right now?

The Tigers begin their next World Series run against the Oakland Athletics(again), a team Detroit has not lost to in the postseason in the most recent years, including the 2006 trip to the World Series.  The Detroit Red Wings begin a new journey in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division as potential favorites to take the division and conference on the way to the Stanley Cup Finals.  But most impressively, our beloved(or still loathed) Detroit Lions are now 3-1 after completely controlling the division rival Chicago Bears on Sunday and face Green Bay at Lambeau Field this Sunday; the Lions have not won their since 2 years before my birth(1991 to be exact).  It is a big time for Detroit Sports, and I can't contain my excitement.
