Tips to Help Lower Blood Pressure

Did you know that one in three American adults has high blood pressure? According to the Center for Disease Control, high blood pressure can lead to heart attack, stroke, chest pain and heart failure. It is important to know the symptoms. Education and prevention now can help prevent damage to your health in the future.

If your blood pressure is within a healthy range, follow these steps for continued prevention:

  • Exercise regularly with a minimum of 30 minutes of movement a day
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Lower your stress through meditation and relaxation
  • Eat a diet filled with fruits and vegetables
  • Limit your alcohol consumption
