There are a few changes going on around Rochester and Rochester Hills. Here's quick rundown:
Final Touch Designs
When closed, one of its previous floral designers, Lorrie Ann Minock, decided to open her own store in downtown Rochester.
Final Touch Designs opened three weeks ago at 308 East St. next to
"A lot of my clients wanted to know where I was going, so when this space opened up I thought, 'Why not?'" Minock said.
With 30 years of experience in floral design, including six at Chapman House, Minock said she will never do anything else.
"I love it, both the designing and the customers. I have met some of the most wonderful people."
The store is filled with beautiful silk floral designs and classic home accessories. And while today's merchandise has a distinct fall feel, Christmas is making its way in.
To facilitate making space for Santa, all fall floral arrangements are 20 percent off now through Saturday.
We've told you a little bit about new downtown venture, . Now, here are a few more details as the restaurant takes shape.
The hibachi-grill restaurant, which will be located at 335 Main St., will seat 75 upstairs and 50 downstairs. They are working hard in hopes to have it open for Lagniappe on Nov. 28.
, Rochester's go-to location for homecoming and prom dresses, is moving off of Main Street.
The store will relocate to the plaza on Rochester Road on Nov. 6. To get ready for the move, all in-store merchandise is 30 percent off.
The Mexican restaurant at Tienken and Rochester Road seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. There has been a "closed for maintenance" sign in the window for weeks, and no one answers the phone.
