The 'Best Burger in America' by Chef Michael Symon Coming to Rochester Hills

B Spot, which won the Burger Bash competition at the tony South Beach Wine Festival four out of the last five years, is expected open in April in Rochester Hills.

If you’re a fan burgers found at fast-food joints, this isn’t mouth-watering news.

But if you want a gourmet burger – “the best burger in America” four out of the last five years in the Burger Bash at the South Beach Wine Festival – you soon won’t have to travel to Cleveland to get it.

Chef Michael Symon is opening the first Michigan location of B Spot in the Village of Rochester Hills shopping center next month, the Oakland Press reports.

The grand opening is planned for early April, general manager Frank Ritz told the newspaper. Symon, a James Beard Foundation Award-winning chef, restaurateur, television personality and author, is expected to make an appearance.

Symon appears regularly on various various programs on the Food Network and Cooking Channel, as well as ABC’s “The Chew.” He’s also a frequent contributor to foodie magazines and other periodicals.

“He’s with us every step of the way,” Ritz said. “From finding the location to setting up the restaurants, it’s all his design.”

The  B Spot menu includes more than a dozen varieties of burgers, as well as other sandwiches, pickled vegetables and craft beers. Among the 24 craft beers will be some local brews, the newspaper said.

The Village of Rochester Hills is located at 104 N. Adams Road on the northeast corner of Adams and Walton Boulevard.
