We're on Day 2 of the New Year, so we're hoping your New Year's resolutions are still intact.

For those with fitness-minded resolutions, we're here to help keep you from losing sight of your goal. We've compiled a list of gyms and fitness-related businesses in the Rochester-Rochester Hills area, including a few just outside the two communities.

Finding a gym near where you live or work should make it easier to stay on track in 2014, so we've mapped out the gyms around the Rochester area so you can find one that fits your daily routine. Just click on the map pin for more information.

For those who prefer getting fit outside of a gym, we've also included some home fitness retailers, bike shops and sporting goods stores in the area.

Here's to a happy and healthy 2014!

Not on this map is Jungle Gym Fitness Studio (Avon & John R), which specializes in fitness classes which are unique, fun and very challenging. There is also a free running club (Wed. night and Sun. morning) and coaching. Personal Training is another option - for optimum results.

Of course aside from the annual cost of a pass to some of the parks, there are all kinds of outside activities at the local parks and on the trails. Stony Creek is one of my favorites because of it's location. Cycling, hiking, biking, boating, golfing, etc., are all available in a beautiful park. Put on your Under Armour and head outdoors!
