Rochester business was founded in 2006.

Somerset Lending Corp won the "Small Business of the Year" Award at the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce Sunrise Pinnacle Awards earlier this month.

Licensed Loan Officer Rosie Hawley recently submitted information about the business through the Small Business Spotlight.

We offer loans for home purchases and mortgage refinancing.

FHA and Conventional loans customized to serve the needs of each unique client.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

Somerset Lending Corp won the "Small Business of the Year" Award at the 7th Annual Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce Sunrise Pinnacle Awards ceremony on October 11, 2013.

When was the business founded?

February, 2006

How did your business come to be? 

Brad Saarela, President & Owner, with a professional background in mortgage lending, branched out on his own to form Somerset Lending Corp in 2006. Brad's desire to make home ownership accessible and possible to an undeserved segment of the community can be summed up in their Mission Statement, which reads as follows: "At the heart of the Somerset way is our vision to be Michigan's Premier Mortgage Company. Admired most for the integrity of its people, product diversity and expertise, while exceeding the expectations of every client".

Why did you choose the area you did?

Brad is Rochester born and bred. It was a natural fit to choose Rochester as the headquarters for Somerset Lending Corp.
