Sea Life Aquarium Coming to Great Lakes Crossing Outlets

The walk-through aquarium will feature 30 displays of diverse marine life and a section reserved for Great Lakes species.

An aquarium with a walk-through tropical ocean tank and a display with unique local marine species will be built in the Great Lakes Crossing Outlets mall in Auburn Hills.

The plan for a 35,000-square-foot Sea Life aquarium with 30 displays of diverse marine life should open next spring, The Oakland Press reports.

Sea Life’s parent company, Merlin Entertainments Inc. operates 45 attractions across North America, Europe and Asia. The Michigan Sea Life wil be the company’s seventh in the United States, the closest at the Mall of America in Minnesota.
