Rochester Auto Supplier Gets $50K Boost From OU INCubator Fund

Plastomer Lighting Technologies will use the funds to enhance its operations.

A Rochester-based Tier 1 auto supplier has received a $50,000 boost from the .

Plastomer Lighting Technologies, a maker of ambient lighting for vehicles, will use the money to enhance its operations.

The INCubator is a resource for entrepreneurs that works in conjunction with the university.

According to a press release, the funding comes from the Business Accelerator Fund of the Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center, which is dedicated to providing business acceleration services to companies that are commercializing advanced technology.

Mike Brennan, an INCubator advisor, said PLT founder and president Mark Licatovich leads a team that has worked tirelessly to position the company for institutional funding assistance.

"It's truly wonderful to have these unique tools in place to help a company like PLT get to the next level, gain real traction and grow for our community," Brennan said.

Plastomer will produce lights for the 2013 XTS and 2014 Cadillac Escalade.
