McDonald's on Rochester Road Set to Reopen Soon

Owner expects to be ready in late September or early October.

Almost a year after it was ruined by a fire, the restaurant on Rochester Road is almost rebuilt.

Owner Bill Saputo Jr. said last week that he was aiming for the restaurant to open Sept. 28, or in early October at the latest.

The inside of the restaurant was in November.

On Friday morning, masons were busy, under the hot early September sun, bricking the building's exterior.

The design will be consistent with the newer McDonald's restaurants — cast stone accents, metal accent awnings and "BellaBrik" walls.

It will feature a side-by-side drive-through and additional landscaping areas. The inside will have coffee and smoothie bars.
