The massive winter blast this past weekend shut down schools in and around Rochester today, and the Secretary of State and some local businesses are following suit.
Selective Eyewear Elements in Rochester Hills announced on its Facebook page it is closed for the day.
"We want all of our employees and customers to be safe! (and try to stay warm)," a Facebook post by the company said. The company closed its locations in Rochester Hills, Birmingham, Ann Arbor, Lansing and several stores outside of Michigan.
