Hibachi Grill Coming to Downtown Rochester

Here's a roundup of changes on Main Street and beyond.

There are a lot of changes being made in Rochester and Rochester Hills. If you need help keeping track, here you go:

What's new Downtown

lovers rejoice! The popular downtown eatery is opening a second restaurant in Rochester.

Hibachi House will be located at 335 Main St. and, as the name might indicate, will feature those big hibachi grills (in the style of Benihana in Troy, for instance). A liquor license is in the works; there is no opening date to share just yet.

Opening: If you've been lucky enough to be downtown when Bonjour Cupcakes has been passing out free samples, you'll be delighted to know the new cupcake destination is scheduled to have a soft opening this weekend.

Closing: The eclectic downtown favorite, Fourth Street Mercantile, has everything 20 percent to 70 percent off until they close at month's end.

Moving: Have you gone looking for gluten-free, vegan cupcakes and been met with a "For Lease" sign? Never fear, has simply moved to  at 120 E. Fourth St. In addition to cupcakes, Boho is now also offering gluten-free, vegan donuts and whoopie pies.
