Tulips aren't the only things popping up this spring. has two new stores opening.
English Gardens Patio
It was here for Christmas, now it's back for spring! English Gardens Patio will open Friday at the former location of its Christmas store.
"We're really happy to be going back in the same space," said Jennifer Youngquest, marketing manager for English Gardens. "We had a great experience with the Christmas store. We loved The Village, our customers and staff."
As the name indicates, this English Gardens will sell patio furniture sets, covers, accessories and table wares. Unfortunately, the space doesn't allow for flowers or plants at this location.
Plans call for the seasonal English Gardens Patio store to close at the end of June.

This Charlotte-based chain has taken advantage of digital camera technology and on-site portrait printing equipment to make your family portrait experience fast and frugal.
How frugal? A recent portrait package offered 40 portraits (32 of which are wallets) plus six greeting cards and a photo CD for $9.95. There are no sitting fees or per-person charges.
How fast? Most sessions are one to 1 1/2 hours and include four simple steps:
- Photo session.
- View and select portraits.
- Create personalized portrait using special effects.
- Portraits are printed and ready to go home with you.
As you might guess, moms tend to be Portrait Innovations' biggest fans!
Project Prom Princess
Have an old prom dress (or two) sitting in the closet? The Village and WDVD-FM, 96.3, have teamed up to make sure no girl goes without a prom dress. The Village will accept gently used dresses, shoes and accessories from April 15-17. For each donated item, participants will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win Village merchant prizes. WDVD will broadcast live during the event. Stay tuned for more details.

The cotton-tailed one himself, the Easter Bunny, will be at The Village from noon-6 p.m. April 16-17 and from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Good Friday (April 22) and April 23. Visits are free; bring your camera!
