Fall Fashion Fair Comes to Village of Rochester Hills

Fall is one of the hottest times to showcase and reveal fashion trends for the upcoming season, and the Village of Rochester Hills has decided to take fashion to the next level.

The Fall Fashion Fair 2013, coming to the Village of Rochester Hills shopping plaza from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 12, aims to entertain and give back to the community. The Village will donate $1 to Leader Dogs for the Blind for each person who registers for the plaza's e-newsletter at the event, and donations will be accepted at various locations throughout the event.

The Leader Dogs themselves also will be at the event, dressed of the occasion.

“We wanted to take it to the next level and create an atmosphere that was similar to the entertainment streets of Boulder, Colorado and the fashion street of NYC,” said Shelleen McHale, Marketing Director at the Village. “We will have the latest 2014 cars on Village Main Street, entertainers on several of the street corners, food vendors taste-testing as you walk from store to store and great ideas to enhance your home and, of course, fashion wardrobe.”

The event is free for the community — there is no cost to participate in any of the activities at the event.

Among the attractions at the fashion show will be Paper Dress Code's Matthew Richmond and his paper dresses, various demonstrations in several stores, mini fashion expos in stores and models strolling along the streets and in stores.

“We were thrilled when the Village called and asked us to showcase our dogs and to be the beneficiary of such a fun event” said Maureen Smith, special events manager for Leader Dogs for the Blind.
