Cornerstone Brickpaving and Landscape Wants You to Enjoy the Yard

Steve Hampton started cutting lawns in the 1990s and now his Cornerstone Brickpaving and Landscape can take care of the entire outside of your home.

Hampton recently submitted information through the Patch Small Business Spotlight.

Here are his answers.

How did your business come to be?

Originally started as a lawn cutting business in the 90's. Our customers were so happy with the quality of the work we did, they would constantly ask; Will you do my mulch? I need some bed work done. My shrubs need trimming, will you do that for me? Can you replace my patio? It was in response to customers needs, that got us where we are today. Plus, my wife says it gave employment to our sons.

What does your business offer?

Full service landscape company. Lawn cutting, mulch, clean up, brick paving or concrete - - patio, sidewalk, driveway, steps. Retaining wall (paver block, boulders, wood). Fire pits. All meant for your summer enjoyment.

What's your most popular product or service?

Our brick paver patios, sidewalks, and driveways are always popular. Your neighbors appreciate the cook outs you have and you appreciate the increase in your homes value. In the spring time, we do tons of yard and bed clean up (winter is tough around here). We clean out dead perennials, trim up the shrubs and highlight the beauty of your home with new mulch.

What's something about your business that most people wouldn't know?

That we are a full service landscape company. Most people only see the Brick paving aspect of our name and don't connect with the landscape part. We are capable of helping customers with practically every aspect of keeping the outside of their home beautiful.

When was the business founded?

Originally as Premiere Lawns in 1992. There was a three year break around the turn of the millennium. Cornerstone Brickpaving and Landscape came into being in 2003.

Why did you choose the area you did?

Our family has lived in Rochester Hills since it was Avon Township. Earl Borden (Borden Park on John R was named for him) was the township supervisor. It has been nearly forty years. It was only natural to serve our neighbors.
