Around Town Pizza Friday: Georgio's Pizza & Pasta

Who needs red sauce with a pizza as good as this?

Fridays are pizza days, and this summer I've been exploring the many pie options Around Town. Read about my previous pizza-eating experiences: , ,  and .

What's on it: Mozzarella, ricotta (heavenly, heavenly ricotta!), parmigiana, fresh garlic and no sauce. Yes, it's a true "white" pizza.

Cost/sizes: Small is $8.99, medium $11.50 and large $13.99. Or get a slice for $2.75.

Takeout/deliver options: You can dine in, carry out or have your pizza delivered. There is a $10 minimum for delivery and a $2.50 charge.

Did you know? I'm not the only fan of the Bianca— it's Georgio's most popular gourmet pizza.

Fun facts: The made-fresh-daily dough is hand-tossed, an impressive display in the open kitchen that will impress the kids and grown-ups alike.

The menu also includes salads, subs, pasta and perhaps the biggest calzones you've ever seen. Lunch specials are offered until 4 p.m.

is located at 117 South Main and can be reached at 248-601-2882.
