Hundreds Make Strides Against Breast Cancer at Oakland University

The American Cancer Society invited the Oakland County community to help end breast cancer at annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at OU on Saturday morning.

Hundreds of Oakland County residents came out to Oakland University to raise money and awareness at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Rochester on Saturday morning.

Thanks for taking the pic of my kids! It turned out great! I'm a two time triple negative Breast Cancer Survivor. I was diagnosed in 2008 and again in 2010. I have been through 8 surgeries, 22 rounds of chemo and 37 radiation treatments. Me and my family walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer every year!

Thank you for taking the pictures of our grandchildren, Riley and Joely! Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is so important to our family as our daughter, Tina Farrell is a two time negative Breast Cancer Survivor. Riley and Joely are two of her four children.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at OU was awesome even in the heavy rain. We enjoyed seeing our grandchildren's pictures on line and the rest of the family was shown in the Yoga exercise pictures. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is so important to us as our daughter, Tina Farrell is a two time triple negative Breast Cancer Survivor. Thank you!

This survivor thanks you! Every person, every event, every fund raising dollar brings us closer to a cure...so my girls and Tins's and maybe even these readers' never have to face that diagnosis. Gotta love pink!

You could call the Mayor, but he is in Istanbul Turkey... looking over some plans for a new shopping mall they want to build in an historic park. Makes perfectly good sense this is the same Mayor who supported tearing down a historic house on Rochester Road to build a new strip mall... and turning Office Research Technology zoning into a Wal-Mart.
