Weekend Countdown: 'A Christmas Carol' at Meadow Brook Theatre

The holiday show kicks off its 30th season at Meadow Brook with special matinees this weekend.

Cost: This weekend is Santa's Special Matinees for a reduced price of $17 for adults and $15 for kids 5-12.
Why go: This family classic will get you into the holiday spirit with the story of a cruel miser and the ghosts that convince him to change his mean-spirited ways. The show stars Thomas D. Mahard as Ebenezer Scrooge and features several Rochester-area youth in rolls of Cratchit family children. This is the 30th season of the holiday show; it runs through Dec. 23.
