Volunteers Needed for Arts & Apples

The Paint Creek Center for the Arts is looking for some helping hands during Arts & Apples, which runs Sept. 6-8.

The three-day art festival is in need of volunteers to help in the food ticket tents, which spokeswoman Ellen Hughes says remains busy from start to close each day of the event.

High-energy volunteers also are needed in the children's activities area, Hughes said.

While the festival needs volunteers throughout the weekend, the helpers won't have to tie up their whole day by donating their time.

"The shifts are about two hours apiece," Hughegs said. "So it's not like you're going to have to sit there all day long, and you can enjoy the park when you're done."
