The Bedroom is the Setting for Avon Players Comedy Opening This Weekend

It's an adults-only show called "Move Over, Mrs. Markham" and it's on stage starting Friday night at the Rochester theater.

The comedy Move Over, Mrs. Markham opens tonight at the Avon Players Theatre in Rochester.

The John Chapman and Ray Cooney play tells the chaotic story of three couples all meeting in clandestine fashion in the apartment of straight-laced publisher Philip Markham. The setting for all the confusion? A round bed inside Markham's apartment.

The show is recommended for adults only. It is directed by Mike Olsem and stars Mary Arvidson, Lesa Bydalek, Paul Held, Kim Monterosso, Joe Munem, Tracy Murray, Joy Oetjens, Emily Polet and Jeff Stillman.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and Sunday
performances are at 2 p.m. Ticket prices range from $13- $15 and may
be purchased at the box office in person, by phone at (248) 608-9077
or online at www.avonplayers.org. Student, senior, and
group rates are available.

The Avon Players Theatre is located at 1185 Washington Road; it's a 501(c)3 nonprofit community theatre serving Oakland and Macomb counties since 1947.
