The Village wants to celebrate the end of school and the beginning of summer 2012! There is not a better place to be for the summer than Michigan and of course, the Village of Rochester Hills.
We are having a Red Carpet Premiere of the new, Disney channel original movie “Let It Shine.” It is being compared to High School musical by reviewers and the first night it premieres is June 15th on the Disney channel…but the Village will have it live for you on a big screen in Festival Park - commercial free!
We start the evening out at 7 p.m. with a “real” Red Carpet for the kids to walk and have a picture taken on with their friends. Everyone is welcome to wear their fancy clothes or just be “hip” for the event. Please be sure to bring your own camera too.

Here’s what the evening looks like:
- Red Carpet available all night for photos. However, 7-8 p.m. there will be someone taking photos and then posting on the Village Facebook for everyone to see. Must sign a waiver to have a photo taken.
- Talented kids that are local stars from Jennifer Kincer’s Studio will be performing between 7-8 p.m. for a dynamic dance party along with games and prizes provided by Radio Disney.
- Movie will be shown starting at 8 p.m. and will run to 10 p.m. During the movie we will be doing more give-aways and performances instead of boring commercials!
