Bollywood Film at the Rochester Hills Public Library

Come with family and friends to watch the award winning Bollywood film Dilwale dulhania le jayenge / The brave heart will take the bride in Hindi with English subtitles on Saturday, August 18, 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the Rochester Hills Public Library’s Multipurpose Room. This must-see Bollywood film, starring  Shahrukh Khan, “the king of Bollywood,” and Kajol, best actress award winner, has won eight Hindi Filmfare awards and was also awarded the National Film Award for the most popular film of the year.

Dilwale dulhania le jayenge / The brave heart will take the bride is a love story about a young man and woman, both of Indian descent but born and raised in Britain, who fall in love during a month long trip to Switzerland. The girl’s traditional father takes her back to India to fulfill a betrothal promise forcing the brave-hearted boy to attempt to win over the girl’s parents. Dilwale dulhania le jayenge / The brave heart will take the bride is an all-time blockbuster that remains the longest run

You are welcome to bring your favorite snacks to share with other viewers while being entertained with Bollywood music and dance! Drinks will be provided.

The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester off of University Drive and 3 blocks east of Main Street. The library is open from 9-9 Monday through Thursday and 9-6 on Fridays and Saturday.
