Avon Players' 'Little Women' Opens Friday

Music opens Friday, continues through Sept. 28.

Avon Players Community Theatre presents the heartwarming musical, Little Women, opening this Friday, Sept. 13, and continuing on weekends through Sept. 28.

Based upon Louisa May Alcott's beloved 19th century novel, Little Women brings to life the March family of Concord, MA. In a time of war and sacrifice, Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth, guided by their mother Marmee, grow from girls into women, through romance and courtship, illness and loss, loving and letting go – issues which are as relevant today as when they were written.

The timeless narrative is brought to life in this exhilarating show filled with music, dancing and heart. Avon Players’ production is directed by Deneen Buitrago, with music direction by John “JD” Deierlien, and features a cast of 16 talented men, women and kids from across the Detroit metro area.
