Spotty Power Outages Remain in Rochester Area

Service in most areas expected to be restored by 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Power has been restored to much of Rochester and Rochester Hills following heavy windstorms overnight Sunday, but some areas are still without electricity, according to the latest DTE Energy outage map.

According to the map, 470 people in the area between Avon, Walton, Old Perch and Adams are without power because of an outage due to an auto-protection device. Service is expected to be restored by 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Another 152 customers at the southeast corner of Avon and Rochester roads are without power. Service also is expected to be restored by 11:30 p.m.

Throughout town, there also are instances of single homes being affected by outages. Services to many of these homes is not expected to be restored until 11:30 p.m. Friday.
