Soldier to Rochester Kids: Thank-You for the Christmas Greetings

We received this email from a Patch reader stationed in Germany and wanted to share.

We receive a lot of "news tips" here at Rochester Patch; this one, received this week, was undoubtedly one of our favorites.

Veronica Bischoff is a Patch reader stationed in the U.S. Army in Germany. Here is what she wrote:

"I would love to thank Julia Kiscleva and Colin Day for the wonderful Christmas cards sent to soldiers overseas. Thank-you for thinking of them. They made it all the way to Germany, Storck Barracks."

Bischoff said Day and Kiscleva are Rochester school kids who created cards that ended up at her station.

Share this story if you've ever been a part of a project that sent letters or cards to children overseas; the soldiers thank you!
