Rochester, Rochester Hills Declare Snow Emergency

A snow emergency has been declared for both Rochester and Rochester Hills. Here's what this means:

Rochester

In Rochester, all vehicles on residential streets are to be removed or will be towed. Vehicles are to remain off the street through the duration of the forecasted snow storm. The snow emergency will be lifted by the City once the emergency has passed.

There is to be no parking in downtown parking lots from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. each day. During a snow emergency, downtown residents are asked to park in Lot 1 at Water and University. Lot 1 is in front of the Rochester Elevator.

Rochester Hills

In Rochester Hills, no person shall park or leave any vehicle on any city street or portion thereof to which the parking prohibition applies.

Any vehicle parked or left on any city street in violation of this snow emergency may be towed and impounded.

This declaration of a snow emergency shall remain in effect until terminated by the announcement of Mayor Barnett, per section 98-108 of the City Ordinances.
