Can You Heal a Brain with Familiar Stories?

Check out some of this week's top community contributions from the area.

As we like to say at Patch, chances are you know something, saw something or think something about your community that your neighbors would love to hear or see. So why not share it on Patch?

If you're passionate about a certain topic or just want to weigh in on something that's on your mind, post a blog on Patch. Blogging is a great way of getting your message, in your own words, out to our readers. You can blog once a week, once a day or whenever the inspiration hits you.

In this column, we highlight some of the best blog posts from this week throughout southeastern Michigan Patch sites. Take a peek at what your neighbors are writing about and then join the conversation by starting your own blog.

To get started, click the "Start blogging icon at the bottom of the home page. You'll then be asked three things: to name your blog, to write a short description of the blog and to upload a thumbnail to appear on the account. Once you hit the "Create your blog" button, you'll be on your way to making your first blog post. It's that simple!
