A Heat Wave—and Dense Fog—Hits Rochester

The advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. today.

The pea soup-esque fog throughout Rochester this morning will likely be a problem throughout the day in town and in much of southeast Michigan, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A dense fog advisory will remain in effect until 7 p.m. today. Expect visibility of a quarter-mile or less, causing hazardous driving conditions. The NWS advises motorists to slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of room ahead.

The good news? Expect a high of 35 degrees today and 40 tomorrow – about 50 degrees above this week's record lows.
