"STUFF THE TRUCK" FOR METRO DETROIT JOBS WITH GOODWILL INDUSTRIES AT LOCAL CARSON'S AND ELDER-BEERMAN STORES

Discounts offered for donations of clothing and household items at locations in Livonia, Howell, Rochester Hills and Clinton Township 

WHAT:
           
Metro Detroiters can earn discounts and help the unemployed earn jobs by helping Bon-Ton and Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit “stuff the truck” with clean, gently used clothing and household items starting at 9 a.m.,Thursday, March 13.

For each donated item, supporters will receive a “Goodwill Sale” coupon for 25 percent off sale and regular priced items at participating Metro Detroit Carson’s (formerly Parisian) and Elder-Beerman stores for their donations.
 
Customers are also invited to visit millionactsofgoodwill.com to learn more about the event and play the Closet Clean-Out Giveaway for a chance to win a $100 gift card instantly and be entered for the grand prize to win a $1,000 Bon-Ton shopping spree.

A $5 donation at the register also earns three 25 percent off coupons. On March 13,donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Elder-Beerman in Howell and Carson’s locations at Laurel Park in Livonia, The Village of Rochester Hills Mall in Rochester Hills and Partridge Creek Mall in Clinton Township.
 
The highest quality items collected during the “stuff the truck” events will be sold at Goodwill’s three stores in Canton, Dearborn and Commerce Township. Proceeds from the stores support Goodwill employment education, training and placement programs that help people throughout Southeast Michigan earn jobs by becoming “Trained, Trusted and Ready to Work.”
