Recycling for apartment residents?

Does anyone know where I can take household recyclables (plastic, glass, cardboard) to be recycled? The apartment complex we recently moved into from out of state does not offer any, and after many years of recycling, feels a bit odd to be filling trash cans with the stuff! I know I can take paper to the boxes at the schools, but wonder is there somewhere else available?
