Quake "Going to the Dogs"

The 2013 Quake-On-The-Lake July 19-21 at the Pontiac Lake State Recreation area will be a pet lover’s paradise. The Oakland County Animal Control Division & Pet Adoption will have adoptable adult dogs and kittens available from 10am-5pm on Saturday July 20 and 10am-3pm on Sunday July 21 which it hopes to place in loving and nurturing homes, says Animal Control Division & Pet Adoption administrative supervisor Joanie Toole. Dog adoption fees are $136.50 cents while the fee for kittens is $57.50. Toole adds that all animals available for adoption are up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, treated for parasites and licensed. In addition, animals four months of age and older will have already been given their rabies vaccinations. People interested in adopting a pet will need to bring some form of identification. Other than that, Toole says all they will need is an “open heart.”

The Rock ‘N Roll Canines will provide a unique form of entertainment as they “shake, rattle and roll” to the hits of the 60‘s, 70‘s and 80‘s.
