Garden Walk Preview Party a Success with Unveiling of Edible Garden Display

The 34th Annual Rochester Hills Garden Walk Preview Party featured the unveiling of an edible garden display designed by Master Cake Artist Heather Tocco of Gracie Moonpie & Company.

Co-sponsored by the Rochester Branch of the Woman’s National Farm and Garden, this year’s walk shows gardens from town to country in the Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township

The Preview Party Garden was situated on more than four acres along Paint Creek Trail.  The residents, Kim and Jim Palmer, are co-owners of Harbor Springs Vineyards and Winery at Pond Hill Farm, a family owned self-sustaining farm.  Guests enjoyed wine samplings as well as French pastries and raspberry tarts courtesy of Gracie Moonpie & Company.

Gracie Moonpie was back again on Thursday with a display and samplings at the Rochester Hills Museum for the guests as they began their journey through the gardens of Rochester Hills.

"We just keep exclaiming about this cake," said Pat McKay, Rochester Hills Museum Director. "It is exciting to see someone like Heather coming into the Rochester area and being a part of our events. And, of course, no one can believe the entire display is made out of cake!"
