First Annual Edible Evening a Success with Special Guest Gracie Moonpie & Company

The edible artistry of Gracie Moonpie & Company was on display at the First Annual Ah Edible Evening benefiting Raising Rochester. Heather Tocco, master cake artists and owner of Gracie Moonpie & Company donated signature desserts and a topsy-turvy edible art piece reflecting the fresh fruits and vegetables grown by Raising Rochester.

Community members and dignitaries gathered at Rochester Hills' Van Hoosen Farm on Aug. 28 to raise funds and awareness for Raising Rochester, an urban garden endeavor launched in 2012 by Kidz 1st Pediatrics to help raise awareness, education and fresh fruits and vegetables for local families in need.

Raising Rochester continues to build and manage raised-bed gardens in neighborhoods and at businesses throughout the community, donating the harvest to local food banks. To find out more about Raising Rochester, visit www.raisingrochester.net.
