After a two-month delay caused by a glitched bidding process, a major east-west corridor in northern Rochester Hills is slated to close for construction July 21.
Tienken Road will be reconstructed between Livernois Road and west of where the Paint Creek Trail crosses Livernois with an anticipated completion by mid-November. The remainder of the project, from west of the Paint Creek Trail to Rochester Road, is scheduled for completion in 2015, according to information from the Oakland County road commission.
The first phase of the Tienken Road Reconstruction project will involve the construction of a roundabout at the Livernois/Tienken intersection and reconstruction of Tienken Road from Livernois to just west of where the Paint Creek Trail crosses Tienken.
