Happy New Year!

The New Year is a great time to evaluate previous goals, and set new ones. Why not include animal rescue as one of them?

Happy New Year! It has been awhile since I’ve blogged, and I apologize for my absence. I plan to start blogging regularly again, and have plenty of exciting topics to write about! Please feel free to leave in the comments any topics you may be particularly interested to learn about in regards to being a responsible pet owner, or animal welfare.

The beginning of January is always a great time to reevaluate and set new goals, also making it an ideal time to consider a role in the animal rescue community if you never have before. There are so many ways to help give back to the animals, from volunteering your time, hosting a fundraiser/donation drive, or even welcoming a new furry member into your family. The holidays are generally a high adoption time at the Oakland Pet Adoption Center, but animals don’t just need homes for the holidays- they need your help all the time!

So while you draft your list of resolutions this month, please consider making one include helping the animal rescue community.  Often, minimal effort produces maximum results. For more information on ways to help, please visit this link.
