This discussion group takes a grownup, 21st century look at spirituality, and religious beliefs and practices.  We'll explore how our growing understanding of science impacts our understanding of ourselves nd God.   We welcome adults of all faiths, but our focus will  be on how our beliefs and religion relate to growing our ability to be Christian disciples.

We'll ask questions a little differently.  Instead of, "Do I believe in God? or Is God real?" we'll discuss rational, adult concepts of God.  Instead of asking "Whiich religion has the true theology?" we'll explore how we can recognize theology and beliefs that gets us closer to Jesus' teachings, over that which moves us farther away from them.  We'll stop angsting over our adult children who may practice a different or no religion and discuss ways to help them develop a more adult theology/belief system.  

In a complex and busy culture that pulls us in myriad directions, we'll explore issues that come with being human, like how we deal with knowing we'll die.

We'll explore prayer, not as in "How can I get God to fix this problem?" but "How can I find and accept God's help i this situation?"
