Book Signing and Discussion: Michael and Gina Spehn
Michael and Gina Spehn, the Rochester couple whose bestselling book The Color of Rain tells of their families coming together after loss, will sign copies of their book and lead a discussion during a special event next month.
Rochester Patch first told you the story of the Spehns earlier this year: (Read 'One Rochester Family's Story of Love, Loss, Faith and New Days'). Michael and Gina each lost a spouse to cancer and then met, married and blended their families (they have five children between them).
The book was first published in 2011 and then printed in paperback earlier this year. It is aNew York Times bestseller. They started the New Day Foundation for Families to help young families facing cancer.
The book signing and discussion will be held Thursday, Jan. 17 at Barnes & Noble in Rochester Hills. The signing will be from 6-7 p.m. and the discussion will be from 7-9:30 p.m.
The book is available at Barnes & Noble now and will be available for purchase on the night of the event.
