What Holiday Traditions Remind You of HOME?

The holidays are filled with memorable times spent with family and friends, delicious holiday meals and treats and those little things that you do to make your holiday yours.  Traditions get passed on from year to year, sometimes generation to generation.  They travel with you, wherever you go to put down roots.

My holiday tradition…I remember as a child always getting to open one gift on Christmas Eve.  It was always something I could use right away; pajamas, slippers, a robe, a Christmas book.  I always looked forward to it every year.  So you can guess what happens in my home on Christmas Eve….one gift for each of my children on Christmas Eve!

What traditions will your children remember and pass on to their children?  It’s not the house that makes the holiday special, it’s the people inside and the things they do together.  Big or small, they will be remembered and treasured.  They will spark a sense of nostalgia and a longing to re-create that nostalgia wherever you call home.  Because a house is not just a house….it’s your Home. Don’t be afraid to change where you live…..you can take your memories and traditions with you to make any house-YOUR HOME!

Happy holidays to you and your family from Lori Acker and
Amy Chermside, Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel Rochester!
