Photo Walk Around Downtown Rochester in the Rain (at Times)

Yesterday I sponsored a free photowalk around downtown Rochester.  Every indication was that we would have wonderful weather...then a dark cloud the size of Rhode Island rolled in and taunted us.  It would spit rain for a few minutes then quit.  We sought refuge in doorways and under canopies, all the while the group kept shooting.  I have included 10 of my favorites with this post.

The streets and sidewalks were very quiet.  I hope those of you reading this will make an effort to get downtown and visit a few businesses.

At the end of the walk several of us had dinner at Penny Black at 4th and Walnut.  I have driven past many times but never been inside, what a treat.  I loved the decor and the food was great.  I'll be going back.

If you are interested in joining in future photowalks you can join my Meetup.com group here, and then you will receive notification everytime I schedule a new adventure.

Bob,

I was with a group at Rojo and saw your group taking these shots, very cool photos. I see the businesses in Downtown Rochester are hurting and we try to get there often to support them with our dollars by spending money at their establishments. Your efforts bring interest to the Downtown and will help generate business for these shops, great work!

We will all enjoy this project when it is complete, we should frequent the Downtown Rochester businesses as much as we can during this time to help them make it through the project also. They are an integral part of what makes our Downtown the cool place it is and will be in the future.

Let us all find a way to support them with our business dollars!
