Where Kids Eat Free (Or Cheap) Around Rochester

Here's your guide to dining with the family around town.

 

We know it's hard for you to make a home-cooked meal every night, and with new restaurants popping up every other week around town, sometimes you want to take the family to try them out.

But it's not cheap for a family of four — or more — to go out to dinner.

It helps when kids can eat for free or for under $5.

We took our kids and ate our way around town (well, really, we called most of these places) and here's what we found.

Where kids eat free

Chapman's Mill

  • When: Wednesday, all day
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult meal, you get a kid's meal for free.
  • Age: 10 and under.

East Side Mario's

  • When: Sundays
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult meal, kids get a meal for free.

Flat Top Stir-Fry Grill

  • When: Mondays.
  • Deal: Kids eat free with purchase of an adult meal.
  • Age: 10 and under (note: kids under 4 eat free every day).

Georgio's Pizza & Pasta

  • When: Tuesdays
  • Deal: Kids eat free off the kids menu with purchase of adult entree.

 Max & Erma

  • When: Tuesday, all day.
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult meal, you get a kid's meal for free.
  • Age: 12 and under.

Mezza Mediterranean Bakery

  • When: Monday, all day
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult meal, you get a kid's meal for free.
  • Age: 9 and under.

National Coney Island

  • When: Tuesdays, all day.
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult meal, you get a kid's meal for free.
  • Age: 10 and under.

Rio Wraps

  • When: Monday, all day
  • Deal: Kids eat free with the purchase of certain adult menu items.
  • Age: 12 and under.

Rochester Mills Beer Co.

  • When: Mondays, all day
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult meal, you get a kid's meal for free.
  • Age: 12 and under.

Rojo Mexican Bistro

  • When: Sundays, all day
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult's entree, you get a kids' meal for free.
  • Age: 10 and under

Where kids eat for cheap

Bravo Cucina Italiana

  • Deal: Dinners range from $4.50-$4.95 and includes a drink.

Buffalo Wild Wings

  • When: Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
  • Deal: For $1.99, kids get dinner with a drink and an ice cream bar. They also have a clown and prizes. No adult purchase needed for this deal.
  • Age: 12 and under.

Chipotle

  • Deal: Meals (tacos, quesadillas with rice, chips and a drink) range from $4-$5.

Chomp

  • Deal: $4 for a meal, which includes fries or apple slices, a drink and a sucker.

CK Diggs

  • Deal: $4.99 for dinner with a soda or milk
  • Age: 12 and under.

Cold Stone Creamery

  • Deal: Kids cones are $1 after 5 p.m.
  • Age: all

East Side Mario's

  • When: Sunday-Thursday.
  • Deal: If you purchase an adult entree for $9.99, you get a kid's meal for $2.
  • Age: 10 and under

Five Guys

  • Deal: $3.29 will get you a burger, $2.99 for a hot dog. Fries are $2.59, but big enough to share with several people.

Limelight

  • Deal: Range from $3.59-$4.95, includes a drink
  • Age: 12 and under.

McDonald's

  • When: Tuesdays from 4-8 p.m.
  • Deal: Kid's Happy Meals for $1.99

Miguel's

  • Deal: $4.75 for dinner, includes rice and beans or fries.

Mr. B's

  • Deal: Dinner for $4.79, which includes a drink
  • Age: 10 and under.

Pei Wei

  • Deal: $3.75 for dinner, which is a choice of honey chicken or teriaki chicken with rice.

Pizza Hut

  • When: Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
  • Deal: If you do the buffet, kids eat for $2.99. Kids under 3 are free.
  • Age: 12 and under.

Qdoba

  • Deal: Meals (quesadillas or tacos with rice and a drink) are between $4-$5.

*If you do not see an age limit, one is not listed on the restaurant's menu.

Sundays: Eastside Marios=Kids eat free with adult entree
Correct me if I'm wrong but yesterday we went to Rojo but went to the one in Partridge and it was kids eat free with adult entree there. I may be safe in assuming the same for downtown?

At Burgrz, a kid's meal (cheeseburger, hot dog, or chicken tenders plus fries and a milk or pop) is $4.49. The fries are enough for a few people, making the deal and the taste better than 5 Guys. Plus, it is a local establishment!
