When Will Tim Hortons Open in Rochester Hills?
It's the question we've heard the most around town this week.

Tim Hortons will open its first restaurant in Rochester Hills before spring, a representative of the restaurant said this week.
In fact, the target opening date is the end of February, according to Anita Saini of Tim Hortons.
Work on the 1,334-foot drive-through is under way on the site of the former Dunkin' Donuts on Rochester Road, north of Avon Road. The old Dunkin' Donuts was torn down last month.
The restaurant is also in the process of hiring staff, Saini said. Submit your application online at timhortons.com
The restaurant will exist mainly as a drive-through; the maximum occupancy of the inside of the restaurant will be nine people. It will be open 24 hours and a timer above the drive-through window will help guarantee that it will take only 25 seconds to get your donuts and coffee, restaurant representatives told city leaders in the fall.
Tim Hortons started in Ontario in 1964. There are more than 3,000 locations in Canada and more than 700 across the United States. The nearest locations to Rochester Hills are on Opdyke Road in Auburn Hills and on Rochester Road in Troy.
Restaurant officials have said Tim Hortons is also pursuing "several sites in and around Rochester."

That location was horrible when dunkin donuts was there and will be.worse with the popular Tim Hortons. It is totally congested with very little room on the property and you take your life into your hands getting on and off in that part the overly congested Rochester road. There are many other locations that are much more user friendly. Business was lost because people just didn't want to deal with it. Easier to go to Starbucks!

Welcome to Tim Hortons! However, also concerned about location .Approval of site should have been with stipulation of "Right Turn Only"...already too many business driveways along that existing corridor.

The location should work for folks heading south on Rochester Road to stop for coffee on their way to work in the morning. I love Tim Horton's coffee and food. I hope to see another location in our area with more inside seating so retired folks can relax with their coffee.

Love Tim Horrons - don't love Rochester Road congestion. They gave a full ingredients list for allergies :-) Saturday breakfast - cant wait!

Tim Hortons is going to be great!! I understand it will be a drive though. That will make it very user friendly for me to pick up my joe and breakfast snack on the way to work!!
