Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

What's the Best Coffee Shop in Rochester?

Is it Starbucks? Biggby? Bean and Leaf? Post a review and tell us about it.

When a new family moves into your neighborhood and asks for your recommendations for groceries, take-out or dry cleaning, what do you say?

Because Patch has an extensive directory of local businesses, we want all of our readers to benefit from your experience the way your neighbors do. Who do you call when you have a plumbing nightmare? Who do you trust when your car starts making a weird noise? Share your knowledge by leaving reviews on businesses in our directory.

Every week, we'll focus on a different product or service. Last week we asked about gyms. Today the hot topic is coffee shops.

Visit Rochester Patch Places to learn about local coffee shops and write reviews. Which coffee stop has been your favorite? Do you have a favorite barista?

Let us know by clicking through to the profile pages of these businesses and leaving your comments:

Tell us, Rochester coffee-lovers, what's the best java in the area?

Bean & Leaf and Dessert Oasis are the top 2 in Rochester.

Caribou at Walton and Adams has lots of seating, a convenient "kids corner" and a really yummy tea latte. I also like Bean & Leaf because it has good atmosphere, is local (rather than a chain) and oh yeah, they make a good latte, too!

Caribou at Walton & Rochdale. Always quick service and with a smile. Definitely a major member of our neighborhood.

Hey - those mugs are from artist, Nancy Zito at Firebrick Gallery and Pottery Studio! ;-)
I love Bean and Leaf.

Yep; we thought they were a perfect "coffee illustration!"

Well, actually, the best tasting coffee, if you really like the taste of coffee, that is with out a lot of extra stuff in it, is Paul's Restaurant on Main Street. But I don't think that you would have the atmosphere of staying there all day and using your computer and such.

That's why I love asking questions like this. I would never before have thought of Paul's for coffee ... but I vow to check it out, Barbara.

Dessert Oasis. My favorite barista is Nate -- so far he's "drawn" a leaf, a bear, & a swan in my lattes. I like the fact that Nate is so into coffee that he goes to the trouble to learn about it & roast his own. I also like the music & the furniture & family atmosphere.
