What Handmade Treasures Did You Bring Home From Art & Apples?

I found this recycled jewelry; share your favorite purchases here.

I made two trips to the Gerdy Gal Art booth at Art & Apples this weekend. All of the Lake Orion artist's jewelry is made from recycled materials: both the earrings and the necklace are made from recycled milk jugs!

I will confess: I could have woven in and out of the booths at Rochester's Art & Apples Festival all weekend. From funky sculptures to kitschy hats to vases and coasters and jewelry and bird baths, the festival offers something for everyone — which is why most people don't leave empty-handed.

Support the artists and show off what you bought at the festival; upload your photo here and tell us in the caption a little bit about your great find.

Gerdy Gal's art is very unique and is quick to bring a smile to those of us who are fortunate enough to own some of her collection. Yay to Rochester for supporting her creative gift! LK
