Weekend Guide: Sidewalk Sales, Heart of the Hills Anniversary Party

Also on the schedule this weekend: Lucky Friday Couples Game Night, Movies in the Moonlight, Music at the Village.

 

Here's what's going on this weekend in Rochester and Rochester Hills.

Downtown Rochester Sidewalk Sales

The event of the summer is here! Downtown Rochester will host its annual sidewalk sales, and Main Street will be packed with great deals all weekend. The event will run Thursday through Saturday, and individual store hours may vary. 

Music at the Village

Do some shopping and catch a concert at the same time Thursday evening when Corrin Barnett plays The Village. Corrin will play a stream of hit songs, along with special requests from the audience during this free show. Make sure to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the two-hour concert which kicks off at 6 p.m.

Lucky Friday Game Night

Looking for a date night that's out of the ordinary? Try your luck at the ConCorde Inn  this Friday during the Lucky Couples Game Night. From 7:30-11 p.m., enjoy complimentary food and refreshments while challenging your sweetie in some classic board and card games. The cost is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. Bring your own game to share or invite another couple and receive a $3 rebate on your admission at check-in. Movies in the Moonlight

Looking for a chance to enjoy the outdoors while spending time with your family? Head over to the second week of the 'Movies in the Moonlight' festival this Saturday night where the featured film is Hugo. The movie is set in the 1930's in Paris and tells the story of a boy living in the walls of a train station who is wrapped up in solving a mystery. Pre-show entertainment begins at 8:30 p.m. in the Farmers' Market parking lot, with the movie starting at dusk. Admission is free, but guests should bring their own seating.

Heart of the Hills 50th Anniversary Party

Are you a current or former member of the Heart of the Hills Swim Club ? Then don't miss out this Sunday when the club celebrates their 50th anniversary with a party! Bring or wear your Heart memorabilia while sharing stories and memories from the past 50 years. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and a dish to share. To RSVP call (248) 651-1456 or email info@hhscswim.org.
