Today is Last Day to Register to Vote in February Primary
Did you just turn 18? Just move to town? The GOP presidential candidates will be on the ballot in Rochester and Rochester Hills.
After Florida this week, and after Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri next week, the GOP presidential candidates are on their way to Michigan.
The state's presidential primary is Feb. 28, and Monday is the last day to register to vote in that election.
The presidential candidates will be the only ones on the February ballot in Rochester and Rochester Hills.
Oakland County Clerk Bill Bullard Jr. unveiled a Public Service Announcement designed to help answer voters' questions about the upcoming primary.
The webpage oakgov.com/clerkrod/askbill goes into detail about how and why the Presidential Primary process came about, and other less common questions voters might have.
“People always ask me if they have to declare what party they are in before they can vote for President,” Bullard said. “Technically, the answer is no. But you do have to ask for one ballot or the other."
