She's a 'Friend of the Year;' Here's Why
Meet Chris Wilder, one of the driving forces behind the popular Used Book Sales at the library.
The Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library have named Chris Wilder of Rochester Hills as the 2012 Friend of the Year.
According to a news release submitted by the Friends group, Wilder is a lifetime Friends member who is active with the library's popular Used Book Sales (she chairs the busy Friday morning shift of the sales and the online aspect of the sales, too).
Through Wilder's efforts, the Friends’ online sales this year so far amount to just under $15,000.
Wilder is a pastry baker at Give Thanks Bakery in downtown Rochester and a volunteer at the Detroit Zoo. Wilder lives with her husband, Dave, and their two cats.

Thank you, Chris Wilder, for the many ways in which you SERVE our community.
You serve as a baker, as a zoo volunteer, and as an organizer and worker for our library's used book sales. Our lives are enriched by things that you do.
We need more people like you, Chris! Thanks again!
