Rochester Hills Man, 58, Seriously Injured in Bike Accident
Man was struck by a car while he was crossing Rochester Road on Friday afternoon.
A 58-year-old Rochester Hills man is in serious condition at an area hospital after being struck by a car while riding a bike across Rochester Road south of Auburn on Friday afternoon.
According to a report from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the man was attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck. A crosswalk and working traffic signals were in the area of the crash, the report stated.
The driver of the car that struck the man was a 79-year-old resident of Rochester Hills, the report stated. The driver was leaving a private property and attempting to turn left onto northbound Rochester and struck the bicyclist while attempting to turn, the report stated.

The accident happened at 12:21 p.m.
Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash and the bicyclist was wearing a helmet, the report stated.
